[IIRR] International Training Course on Community-based Integrated Watershed Management 2011
Dear friends and partners in development,
As part of the IIRR learning and sharing experience, we are pleased to share with you the brochure for the training course on Community-based Integrated Watershed Management. The training will be held on November 28 to December 9, 2011 at the IIRR Yen Center, Cavite Philippines. The course will be conducted jointly by IIRR and the World Agroforestry Centre formerly known as ICRAF.
Community-based integrated watershed management is a process of involving local communities and local governance structures in formulating and implementing a course of action involving the water and land resources or watershed, with emphasis on the linkages between the upstream and downstream parts of a watershed and their respective human and biophysical endowments. Participants will learn the skills and techniques necessary to systematically plan, implement and monitor and evaluate community-based watershed initiatives. They will also learn how to balance and integrate the technical, social, economic and political elements and community-based integrated watershed management implementation.
Please find the attached training course brochure and application form for more details. Should you have more questions about the course, please email Dulce Dominguez at: dulce.dominguez@iirr.org.
The trainings we offer are products of IIRR's extensive experience in the various participatory, sectoral and management approaches of development work in Asia and Africa.
