Image-Based Monitoring and Evaluation – Learning Tools for Rural Development, PREVAL/Southern Highlands Rural Development Project, Peru, 2007
This document is a novel publication as it fills a void in literature on the issue in Latin America and the Caribbean. It reproduces successful, innovative experiences where and Image-Based Monitoring and Evaluation approach was used as an opportunity to display creativity and simplicity in the use of their different techniques, which made a significant difference in the effectiveness of M&E systems. The first part discusses the use of images in M&E, whilst the second part outlines practical tools and guidelines for using these methods and their relationship to adult learning, including mapping and talking maps, infographs, geo-referenced information systems (GIS) and audio-visual materials.
